A comprehensive and clear model for a library blog

Kansas City Public Library uses a blog to create a website which displays a great deal of information in a clear, uncluttered manner. Several other library blogs scroll down too far, but not this one.

I just checked out their blog and I love how the featured events alternate in a sort of slideshow fashion. I'm not sure if there's a more technical name for this style, but I liked it a lot. They're able to get more information on the page without cluttering it up and affecting the visual appeal.

Rosemary,
1892??
That's amazing. I hope to see the photos at the library. The city is changing so fast even since I moved here. I can't imagine what it looked like in 1892.

I just took a look at that library's blog, and the quality is amazing! In just a small space it manages to convey a lot of info without overpowering the viewer.
Tina, despite all the various options on presenting photos, I think the technical generic name is simply slideshow.
